BiMix is an injectable compounded medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). It contains two active ingredients: papaverine and phentolamine.
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the inability to get or keep an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse. It can happen at any age but is more common in men over 40. ED can be caused by physical or psychological problems. Approximately 20 million men in the United States suffer from ED, with that number projected to increase to more than 300 million by 2025 [1].
The use of oral phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors such as Sildenafil and Tadalafil is a first-line treatment for men with erectile dysfunction. These work by relaxing the corpus cavernosum inside one’s penis, thus leading to penile Hardness and Erection [2].
Though PDE5 inhibitors are a common treatment option, many men don’t respond to these medications as they would hope and look elsewhere for ED treatment. An alternative option that has been used with positive results in ED treatment is Bimix.
BiMix ED injections contain a mixture of two drugs: Phentolamine and Papaverine. This drug is a specialty compounded medication and is therefore not available at retail pharmacies. If you’re interested in trying BiMix to help treat ED, talk to your doctor and we will work with them to create a custom dosage for you.
The components of BiMix work synergistically causing sustained penile erections in individuals suffering from ED.
BiMix is an injectable ED treatment that can be compounded to fit the needs of each person. This drug has been proven effective in treating erectile dysfunction and works better for some men than oral medications such as PDE5 inhibitors like Viagra®, which are often not strong enough for many people’s conditions.
Injecting BiMix into the corpus cavernosum results in the relaxation, expansion, and filling of the corpus cavernosum with blood. This may result in penile erections that last throughout the duration of sexual intercourse.[3]
There are two primary reasons that men with ED may consider using BiMix:
Do not take this medicine with any of the following Conditions:
Some men may feel anxious or squeamish about self-injecting themselves, this is a relatively painless procedure if done properly with the correct technique. Discussed below are the steps that are needed to safely self-administer the BiMix injection [5][6]
The effects of BiMix become evident about 5 – 15 minutes after its injection into the penis as it induces a penile erection. Its duration action typically varies depending on the individual, ranging anywhere between half an hour to an hour. However, its effects should not last longer than 3 hours. If it does, call your physician.
